Water is an essential element for survival of life on earth. Human body requires 2 to3 liters of water everyday to keep the body free from harmful toxins. It is however important that water we drink is free from impurities, bacteria & viruses, which cause diseases like gastroenteritis, typhoid, cholera, dysentery, jaundice, etc.

Various purification processes are followed for potable water as under.

BOILING : Water has to be boiled at least 20minutes, which is not Practical nor economical. Microbiological impurities resurface on cooling.

FILTRATION: The process removes only physical impurities and does not kill Bacteria & viruses.

CHLORINIZATION: The quantity of chlorine used to treat water has to be monitored carefully to avoid  ill effects. A little extra proportion could lead to serious health hazards.

OZONIZATION: Ozone is produced by  passing high voltage through
electrodes and is not a practical process for domestic use.

Is bottled water the answer? 11 out of 16 bottled water samples tested didn’t pass the ISI test for portable drinking water.

Hence the need to purify...

WaterDoc Domestic purification systems are based on the following methods:

  • Ultra Violet (UV) systems
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems
