| KRF is equipped with state-of-the-art spectrometers such as Atomic
Absorption Spectrometer with graphite furnace and hydride generators. Equipment
is fully loaded with all possible accessories for diverse applications. Elements
such as As, Pb, Cd, Hg, Cu, Cr, Zn, Sn present in excessive amounts in foods are
treated as Toxic metals. These elements induce toxic effects on human
metabolism. Such foods containing excessive amounts of toxic elements can be
avoided, after testing. |

KRF has capability to conduct mechanical and chemical testing of metals
[Ferrous and Non Ferrous]. Destructive and Non-destructive metal testing
facilities are available under one roof, such as:
- Chemical Analysis of metal and alloys
- Mechanical/ Physical testing of metals.
- Impact testing by IS/BS/ATM Machine
- Hardness testing of metals
- Out site testing includes Ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle inspection,
dye penetration test.
